Prose Microscope Now Available

Prose Microscope is now available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Borders. Here is a sample of the new book featuring a poem called Squint.

Squint

When you close one eye
and squint with the other
Vision improves while
looking through the microscope
Situations look vivid
Sight beyond that of a mortician
gate-keeping biospheres for mortal portals
Before you get to that stage
squint as much as you can
so that fixed telescopes
can't get as far and close
as near-sighted Neanderthals
with the urge to disintegrate your enzymes
Instead of asking "Why are organisms that way?"
SQUINT
